Deb Gulbrandson, PT, Owner
Owner and physical therapist Deb Gulbrandson is dedicated to treating “the whole patient,” meaning she not only offers the latest evidence-based physical therapy, but she also is committed to involving mind, body and spirit in the process of healing.
With a true commitment to her community, Deb turns her 25 years of valuable experience in a wide variety of areas into offering comprehensive treatment experiences for those who come under her care.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. She is also a Certified Pilates Instructor (Polestar International), a mentor with Polestar Pilates, Denver, Col. and is CPR Certified.
She gained her broad experience working in hospital settings, home care and educational environments, and in management and program development before setting up her own clinics.
She is owner of Cary Physical Therapy and Harvard Physical Therapy and is a Polestar Pilates Mentor in Denver, CO.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Forum, and the Pilates Method Alliance.
When she is not working she enjoys skiing (snow or water), ballroom dancing and hiking and biking.
Chris Hughes, ATC
Chris Hughes has a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Elementary Education from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Northern Illinois University.
She is also a First Aid Certified Instructor and is certified with American Red Cross CPR.
Chris has her Polestar Pilates Certification. Prior to joining our team, she served as a high school athletic trainer and gained experience in an outpatient clinic. She also does personal training.
She is a member of the Illinois Athletic Trainer Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainer Association, the National Athletic Trainer Association and the Pilates Method Alliance.
When she is not working she enjoys her family, sports, scrapbooking and Bears games.
Gil Gulbrandson has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University and completed the Faculty Athletic Training Program at Northwestern University.
He has a certificate in Orthotics from Northwestern University Medical School, Center for Orthotics and Prosthetics.
He completed his Polestar Pilates Education in Denver.
The owner of Gulbrandson O&O, he has been involved with health care and sports medicine throughout his career and served for 14 years as a high school teacher and athletic trainer.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
When he is not working, he enjoys golfing and skiing.
